Anomaly-driven exploration
Where the
pattern
breaks
Somewhere near you there is a coordinate that does not behave like the others. DarkMap finds it, tells you what is said about it, and leaves the walk to you.

How it works
Three steps, one point

01 — Signal
The map is watching you
Pick a radius and scan. DarkMap reads the area around you and returns the single coordinate where the pattern breaks — an attractor where something gathers, or a void where nothing ever did. You do not choose where to go.

02 — Record
That place is a story
Every point arrives with its own record: a density score, the terrain it sits on, and an account of what is said to have happened there. How much of it you believe is up to you.

03 — Walk
Or stay where you are
If the point pulls you, take the route and go. Your phone tells you when you are close. If it does not, the reading is complete on your screen — going is always optional.

The city at night
You have walked past it a hundred times
Pricing
One time. No subscription.
DarkMap is free to try: one reading every 24 hours. Unlimited readings are a single purchase that stays yours — no monthly fee, nothing to cancel, and it restores on your other devices with the same Apple ID.
Before you go
Two honest notes
Safety
Restricted and military areas are excluded from the search. Even so, watch your surroundings, obey local law and never enter private property. Going to a point is always optional.
Fiction
The records attached to each coordinate are fiction, written for the app. They are not history, news or claims about real people and places.
Questions and answers
Everything people ask
What is DarkMap?
DarkMap is an iOS app that scans the area around you and returns a single coordinate — the point where the pattern breaks. Each coordinate comes with a fictional record about the place. It turns an ordinary walk into an expedition with a destination you did not choose.
How does it pick a place?
You choose a search radius, from one to twenty kilometres. The app generates candidate points around you, scores them by terrain and density, filters out restricted areas such as military zones, airports and prisons, and returns the strongest one.
Do I have to go to the coordinate?
No. The reading is complete on your screen and going is always optional. If you do go, a route is drawn and your phone tells you when you are close. Watch your surroundings and never enter private property.
Are the stories real?
No. Every record is fiction written for the app. It is not history or news about real people and places.
Is DarkMap free?
Yes, with one reading every 24 hours. Unlimited readings are a one-time purchase with no subscription, and it restores on your other devices with the same Apple ID.
Does DarkMap track my location?
No. Location is used only while the app is open, your live position stays on your device, and nothing is tracked in the background. The only thing stored is the anomaly coordinate a scan produces.
Which devices does it work on?
DarkMap runs on iPhone with iOS 15.6 or newer. An Android version is in progress.
